How BeatMe works
Every game on BeatMe is played through a link. Here is everything that happens between "I dare you" and "rematch".
Start a challenge
Pick a game and type your name. In turn-based games you can make the first move. Score games start once both players have joined.
Send the link
You get a short link on beatme.link. In WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, Slack and most other apps it unfolds into a card that shows who is challenging whom, and how the game is going.
They accept
The first person to open the link and accept with a name takes the seat. Anyone else who opens it can watch live.
Rematch, replay, brag
When a round ends you get a result card to share, a replay of every move, and a one-tap rematch on the same link.
The four kinds of game
Duels are turn-based, like Connect 4. You move, they move, and you never have to be online together.
Beat My Score games, like Reaction Duel, give both players the exact same round. They unlock only when both of you have joined, so nobody can post a practised score in advance.
Sealed Rounds have both players lock in a choice in secret. Then both are revealed at once.
Races put you on the same puzzle at the same moment, with each player's progress visible to the other.
How long does a link last?
A challenge stays open for 48 hours after the last move, and at most seven days in total. After that the link shows how the game finished, and you can start a new one in seconds.
Playing on two devices
Your seat is remembered in the browser you played on. To continue on another phone or computer, open the game and tap Continue on another device. Keep that private link to yourself.
Fair play
Every move is checked on our server, so nobody can play out of turn or make an illegal move. Score games get the same seed for both players. If you see a link that is spam, pretends to be someone, or is offensive, use Report this link on the game page.
Is there money involved?
Never. BeatMe is pure skill and pure fun: no stakes, no prizes, no purchases.
